Our week at a glance.......

Just wanted to do our weekly blog post about this last week. It was a busy, crazy one again. We have so many things we want/need to do before we leave for 4 months. Still trying to visit everyone, get in a zillion play dates, clean house, keep laundry caught up and keep the summer "I am bored" saying away!
Monday we sent daddy and Austin off for their week long scout camp at Bear Lake. Me and the kids met a few of our cousins at free lunch, went grocery shopping (now that we got rid of all the scout food in the fridge we were in desperate need of some of our own food). Then we met Aunt Angela and the girls for dinner at KFC and then we had a sleep over here and everyone stayed up until midnight! It was a lot of fun!
Tuesday we met the Whiting's and the Thomsen's at Hollywood Connection for most of the day. Our cousins Haleigh and Camilla have the pass of all passes so we took them with us too. Ariauna had a great time hanging out with her friends. They rode the rides, played miniature golf, skated and then we ended our day with an ice cream and some fries. Later the girls went to dinner with Aunt Angela, then we had Grandma and MeKenzie over for a girls night and then Ariauna slept at Angela's house. Sadie wanted to be home with me!

Wednesday the girls spent the day playing at Angela's house. Our cousin MeKenzie is here visiting from Colorado so they had a girls day hanging out and they all walked to free lunch at the school. Jaxon and I spent the day shopping and cleaning. Today we got the hospital bill from Primary Children's Hospital and this was just for the room we stayed in for five weeks. (Does not include doctors, anesthesiologist, surgery, etc.) The total just for the room was $166,895.82. Unbelievable!!  So I can just imagine what the bill will be for the next part of our journey. I am grateful today that Jerry has a job and that he has Insurance. I can not imagine if we had to pay that whole thing. I know we all complain a lot about Insurance and how it does not cover as much as we would like it to cover. But I am feeling pretty blessed today that we have Insurance.
Thursday we had a play date with the Brinkerhoff's at our house and had a painting party! We did crafts, and had lunch together. The kids played inside and outside. We had a lot of fun! Danika our Home Health Nurse came about 3:30 and took Ariauna's CBC (complete blood count). Later the little boys went home and we continued to craft, play, got pizza for dinner, Mekenzie came to stay with us for the evening and we ended our night with a walk.  Friday we all slept in, and then Mekenzie decided she wanted homemade cheesecake so we ran to the store to get the supplies, stopped and got Slurpee's and came home and made cheesecake. Primary Children's called to let us know her blood work was as low as they want it to get and she needs to have a blood transfusion. This is also the day I tried to get a hold of Minnesota to see the status on the donor search. See previous post I made about the good news on this. I didn't do so good to take pictures Wed-Fri. Ugh!!  We get so busy having fun that I forget to get out the camera. Friday night we had a friend/cousin birthday party for our cousin Camilla. Here they are making a cute pig craft. Then I let Ariauna break the rules and jump on the tramp for a minute while I stood there right next to her, praying she didn't get hurt. She loved the 2 minutes I let her jump. She really misses all those fun things (riding bikes, scooters, jumping, swimming). I can't imagine how hard it is on her. And the last one is just a picture of me and my sweet, always happy little girl.

Saturday was another busy day. We got up and went to a car wash fundraiser for our cousin Haleigh's young woman camp. Then we ran home long enough to say Hi to daddy who just got home from camp and we grabbed Austin to go to our very first Hope Kids activity. While we were up at Primary Children's hospital for 5 weeks we were told about an organization called Hope Kids and were told we should fill out an application for Ariauna. In order to be accepted into the organization you have to have a life threatening disease or a chronic illness. Anyway, Ariauna was accepted and they sent our whole family t-shirts to wear to the activities they do. They have sent us a lot of invitations to activities, but this is the first one we have been able to attend. Here are me and the kids in our Hope Kids attire. The organizations focus is to give every child and their family hope.

We have been counting down the days. We got an invitation at the beginning of the week and I immediately got on to get tickets. I knew the girls would absolutely love it. It was tickets to see the play "Annie". Me and the girls have watched the movie over and over again a bunch of times. We sing the songs around the house quite frequently. Austin I am sure was not to thrilled with going, but I am so grateful for him going and putting on a smile. It was important to Ariauna that he went with us. I actually only got 4 tickets, thinking Jerry and Austin would not be home from camp yet. But when we found out they were home we took Jaxon home to daddy so he could nap and Ariauna wanted Austin to go with us. Here are a few of the scenes and then the picture Ariauna loves the most is at the end. She was so excited that she actually got to meet Annie and have her picture taken with her. What a fun adventure it was! Thank you Hope Kids for this fun event.

Saturday night we went to our cousin Camilla's family birthday party and then today being Sunday we went to church, Ariauna loves to go to Primary and I know soon she is not going to be able to do that for a long time so we are trying to make sure to get there every week while we can.  After church we got Austin ready for his next week long Order of the Arrow camp and then spent the evening as a family playing out back. The kids had been begging for Jerry to put the trampoline up. They have had so much fun on Angela's, they finally convinced daddy to do it tonight. Here they are having an absolute blast on the trampoline and daddy also pulled out the airplane toy.

We ended our night with heart shaped little mini cheesecakes to celebrate our Anniversary. Jerry and I have been married for 18 years today. It has been the best 18 years of my life. I love him so much and am so grateful for all he does for me and the kids. He is my best friend, he is a blessing to me and all because two people fell in love I have been blessed with 4 other blessings in my life, each of my beautiful kids. I have so much to be thankful for.  Well hopefully we are one week closer to having the transplant. I will keep you all posted as I get more information. In the meantime, if you can continue to pray for Ariauna she will be having her blood transfusion done on Tuesday and please pray for the sweet donor that will be going in for the full physical soon. If all goes well with the physical we will be booking airfare to start our BIG JOURNEY!!
