2nd duodenum surgery

At age 8 she got really sick, she had lost nine pounds in two months. Our pediatrician referred us to the surgeon she had seen at birth. We were only at the hospital a short time when we were admitted and it was not long after that they found she had another blockage in her intestines. Thank goodness we were admitted for the blockage issue, because this is the same time they found there was something really wrong with her blood counts. They started testing for all sorts of blood disorders. This picture was taken shortly after her second duodenum surgery and about the same time we found out that she definately has Fanconi Anemia and will be needing a bone marrow transplant as soon as possible.
